This lovely home in the Provence (which can be rented here on Airbnb) has been decorated with a passion for antique objects and materials, colours and shapes. The 45-square meter apartment is situated on the 2nd and last floor of a XIXth century building in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. It is entirely renovated with ancient materials and one-of-a-kind pieces collected at antique fairs, reflecting the owner’s personality. She aimed to highlight the huge wood beam by integrating it through the window frame and create a quiet harmonious neutral and natural atmosphere. Colours are added through furniture, tainted linen and objects or paintings. Limewash was selected for walls and ceilings, a material with a velvet touch, and smooth waxed concrete for the floor, to match the walls. Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is one of the must-see places of Provence. Colorful with green and water, this island city is nicknamed “Venice Comtadine”. Located at the foot of the Vaucluse plateau, the town is crossed by several canals fed by the Sorgue. On Thursdays and Sundays there is an authentic and colorful Provencal market which stretches along the canals and in the city, one of the largest and oldest markets in Provence.
